We have reflected the diversity of views, practical ideas and processes women have shared with us over coffee, over lunch and over the phone. Women continue to work through issues as to how best to bring this event into their community, making the event safe for women's participation and negotiating the community pressures which impact on the integrity of the event. We started with five groups in New South Wales. As there was no record to refer to, we had no idea how many communities had held an event. We have since tried to reach most groups in rural New South Wales but if we missed hearing your story, the collection will be all the richer if you share it with us now, so it becomes a living document which grows every year. We encourage women to be creative, intuitive and to do what works for you in your community, and in turn share your experiences with others to celebrate our strength and survival.
