The National Council of Women of Tasmania (NCWT) will be organising a Celebratory Ecumenical Service at Wesley Church, Melville Street, Hobart, to celebrate the beginning of the centenary year of NCWT and International Women's Day. The North Western Kart Club, in partnership with the Business & Professional Women's Association - Emu Bay Branch, will be holding an Open Day at the North Western Kart Club Track for girls aged 7 - 70 years! Free Morning tea and familiarisation visit to the Women's Health Access Program of the Department of Health and Human Services. The National Council of Women of Tasmania (NCWT) will mount a display of historical material from archives, dealing with NCWT, at the State Lending Library (first floor) Cnr Bathurst & Murray Streets, Hobart. Morning tea at the Adult Education Centre (room 16), 4 North Terrace, Burnie, where older women from a variety of nations will speak about their migration experiences. The theme will be "Women's Journeys". This function has been organised by the Migrant Resource Centre, Community Options Service (NESB) and the Wynyard Group of Women Born Overseas.
