The NSW Department For Women, via the Minister for Transport and State Transit - Sydney Buses - have demonstrated support for women at major public events by networking and providing a wheelchair access bus. The Sydney bus for International Women's Day 99 will be leaving from Town Hall at 11.30am for Hyde Park. Jeanette (your driver for the day) will be leaving Hyde Park for Central Railway, at hourly intervals commencing at 1pm. The final trip of the day will leave Hyde Park at 4pm via Park St, George St, Parramatta Rd, thence Norton St to Leichhardt Depot.

Jeanette Smith is a driver with State Transit, and has been for 5 years. She is also the Leichhardt Spokeswomen's Network representative. Jeanette drove for Reclaim the Night 1998 and International Women's Day 1999.

Anyone who has been driven home by Jeanette will remember it as a great trip as these 1998 Reclaim the Nighters did.
