Annandale             a discovery in progress

Willy Wagtails

Willys are known for their dances.

On 8 May 2005, this Willy was seen doing its ‘this is my place’ dance in the direction of two Noisy Minas in Federal park.

On 27 December 2003, these two Willys were seen ‘not talking’ to each other at Johnstons Creek in Spindler Park.

A walk along Johnstons Creek will give you an opportunity to see a Willy or two for yourself as they are permanent residents.

Spring is the time for nest spotting.

On 5 October 2005, this broody Willy was spotted nesting in plantings next to Chapman Road.

Some may recognise the pink background as the ‘carpet factory’ wall.

Some say when you see a Willy– visitors are coming.
